"Handicraft elements in national costumes in Europe"

Aims:

"Handicraft Elements in the National Costumes in Europe" is partnership project of 6 partners' organizations in order to set up contacts and share experience of volunteering in different European countries, to learn about handicraft elements in the national costumes and how they can be used in the modern clothing. The project will focus on universal language - art. Project's target groups are volunteers from different age groups, mostly unemployed, seniors, women and migrants.

The implementation of this project will help:

  1. to build international relationships between volunteers on the European level;
  2. to make them respect other cultures and learn about them during visits to partners;
  3. to learn handicraft elements in national costumes in own and other European countries;
  4. to create own handicraft using personal knowledge and experts and share them with partners;
  5. to learn new types of handicraft, new skills and methods from partners;
  6. to teach partners to make national handicraft;
  7. to strength proud of own culture and European cultures, the proud to be European citizen;
  8. to motivate learners and staff members to learn foreign languages and improve themselves on ICT;
  9. to make learners feel self confident through project activities;
  10. to learn how to use time effectively through workshops and daily activities.

 

Activities:
Partners will organize project activities : handicraft workshops and seminars about national costumes and handicraft, about adult education, about intercultural dialogue and volunteering, educational visits in ethnographical museums, exhibitions.

  2. Modern dress with handicraft elements
  3. sections in Facebook and box.net

  6. E-Diary
  7. photo exhibition
